EVE And Synplicity Partner To Accelerate SoC Verification With Comprehensive Prototyping Solution; New Solution Integrates Certify and Synplify Pro Software With Eve's ZeBu
SAN JOSE and SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 23,
2003--Emulation and Verification Engineering (EVE), the advanced
verification product specialist, today announced that its ZeBu -- for
Zero Bugs -- integrates with key software technology from Synplicity
Inc. (Nasdaq: SYNP) to help accelerate the verification of
system-on-chip (SoC) designs. It was also announced today that EVE has
joined the Synplicity Partners in Prototyping Program.
Synplicity's Certify(R) and Synplify Pro(R) software enable users
to partition and synthesize their register transfer level (RTL)
designs directly into ZeBu for a complete prototyping solution. The
software delivers fast compile times and offers mapping technology
designed to deliver high-quality results for the Xilinx Virtex-II
Platform field programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) in ZeBu.
Through this partnership, EVE customers can use Synplicity's key
software technology to implement their designs into the Xilinx Virtex
II Platform FPGAs used in EVE's verification system. The result is
faster functional verification due to industry leading Quality of
Results (QoR) and verification specific innovations.
ZeBu is a hardware-assisted verification platform used to
accelerate the verification process of application specific integrated
(ASIC) and FPGA designs and the software development cycle for
embedded software designs. Installed on a designer's desktop, ZeBu
verifies designs up to 12 million ASIC equivalent gates, offering the
same debugging capabilities found in high-end emulation systems, but
at a higher speed and at a fraction of the cost.
"Synplicity is an important and valued partner," remarks EVE's
Vice President of Marketing Lauro Rizzatti. "Joining its partner
program ensures ZeBu customers have access to powerful software used
for ASIC or FPGA prototyping."
Synplicity's Partners in Prototyping Program
The Partners In Prototyping program provides a convenient source
for information on prototyping solutions using Synplicity's Certify
software. The Certify software is a proven tool that allows ASIC RTL
designs to partitioned and synthesized directly into a multi-FPGA
implementation. The Certify product automatically performs a number of
tasks necessary to take a design originally coded for an ASIC
implementation and successfully target an FPGA implementation, such as
conversion, partitioning, debug insertion, and timing optimization.
Synplicity's Synplify Pro software is the leading solution for
FPGA synthesis. Synplify Pro offers the best QoR, ease of use, and
complete FPGA vendor support that have made it the market share leader
for FPGA synthesis with over 54 percent market share in 2001 according
to Dataquest.
Adds Brian Caslis, Cerify product marketing director at
Synplicity: "EVE is fast emerging as the leading supplier of
hardware-assisted verification. We welcome it into our program and are
committed to building the relationship."
